Daily childcare operations involve policies related to attendance, health requirements, safety procedures, scheduling, and parent responsibilities. The information below outlines important program guidelines to help families understand daily expectations and childcare procedures.
Grounds for Dismissal Policy
Your child can be dismissed from our program for the following reasons. The decision will be left up to the discretion of the Administration.
- Any unpaid tuition or delinquent fees, including ELRC co-payments.
- Child exceeds 40 absences annually. Avoid the child from missing more than 3 days per month.
- If your child exhibits behavior that is harmful towards self or others. These behaviors include, but are not limited to, fighting, hitting, biting, verbal threats, theft, running out of the classroom or building.
- If the parent fails to disclose pertinent information about the child’s pre-existing conditions, including but not limited to injuries, medical conditions, or special needs, at the time the child’s application is completed, including providing us with an ISP or IEP and recommended treatment. The parent must comply with all treatment for your child provided by a mental health professional or doctor. Achievement Products may be used to assist a child with improving his or her behavior.
- If you are late picking up your child three (3) times, it may result in termination of services. A late fee of $1:00 per minute will be charged for late pickups. If late fees are not paid on the day they are incurred, the child will not be permitted to return until all outstanding late fees have been paid in full.
- Sick children are to stay at home; if you send your child to school sick with symptoms which include, but are not limited to, a contagious disease, coughing, sneezing, runny nose, or fluid discharging from the eyes or their temperature reads above 100 degrees.

Children will not be accepted after 11:00 AM due to disruption to our learning program.
- Parents demonstrating poor behaviors that include but are not limited to using foul language, arguing, talking on cell phones, theft, not complying with PBLA rules and policies, and causing a negative environment.

PBLA Uniform Colors are Burgundy Top and Navy Bottoms for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Due to our total learning and fun experience for the children, we recommend that your child wear play-like clothing and footwear. No open-toe shoes.
As a safety precaution for our children, no beaded hair accessories, small earrings, or small barrettes; they present a choking hazard, and children may put small items in their ears and nose.
Trip Policy:
PBLA strives to provide a safe place for children to explore; however, other environments off-site aren’t always as child-friendly. It is important to make outings as safe as possible while allowing children to learn from their experiences in a variety of settings. Parents will be notified in advance of all field trips requiring transportation and any other special arrangements necessary. Please make sure your child wears a RED T-SHIRT on trip day and sign a permission slip.
A parent or legal guardian will sign an informed consent form for all trips and will be responsible for any fees. Children with excessive behavioral problems may require a chaperone.
